Albert Morten III Chief Executive Officer/Founder

Solimar Power Partners is led by Albert Morten, CEO/founder. Al has over 30 years of

experience in energy and real estate development. His subject matter expertise includes guiding projects through concept, feasibility, planning, financing, and construction.

Internationally, Al has represented and served as a key adviser to several California companies in trade missions and economic development projects in West Africa and Eastern Europe through the U.S. Department of Commerce.

His academic background includes a bachelor of science degree in economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara as well as professional certifications in green hydrogen production and organizational management.

Chris Hopgood Vice President of Finance

Chris has been in the renewable energy business since 2012 and has been in the finance industry for institutional investment since 2007. Since forming Ignite, Chris has demonstrated the ability to successfully market renewable projects to various investors and maximize returns to his clients.
Prior to forming Ignite, Chris co-developed a business plan and launched a software solution company marketed to financial services firms. He interacted daily with buy & sell clients to ensure the functionality of the product was used to its full potential, promoted the tool suite, and identified product improvements. Chris also served as a liaison with portfolio managers and traders to assist in locating liquidity within the site.
Mr. Hopgood was also a Vice President at a global trading and fund services firm for hedge funds, with a particular focus on futures and options.

Pierre Massela Senior Vice President of Business Development and
Real Estate

Pierre is a highly driven results-oriented professional with several years of business development and leadership experience in the real estate and renewable energy space. He has extensive experience in building business relationships with prospective partners, investors, and stakeholders and has demonstrated the ability to conceive and execute effective business development strategies.

Pierre’s 20+ year career is marked with successful turns in commercial and residential real estate. His focus includes site selection, acquisition, brokerage, sustainability, contract negotiation, investments, divestitures, regulatory compliance, and financial analysis. An innovator and agile problem-solver, Pierre has an outstanding ability to develop and execute comprehensive business proposals, negotiate complex contracts, and align business activities to support and exceed organizational objectives.

Pierre is responsible for driving Solimar’s overall business development strategy to create a robust pipeline of project opportunities. He consistently drives to lead initiatives that help maintain Solimar’s competitive edge.

Pierre holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics, graduating from DePauw University. He holds an active California Real Estate Salesperson License.

Reed Page Vice President Low Carbon Ventures

Reed has over fifteen years of experience in the energy industry ranging from trade and logistics to production, midstream and exploration, with further experience in Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) and environmental attribute markets. In addition, he also manages producer services and exploratory business development activities in carbon sequestration, geothermal energy and hydrogen. He is a graduate of the Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University with degrees in Finance and Economics and resides in Lehi, Utah with his wife and three small children.
